Over The Blues Brothers Tribute Band

The Blues Brothers staan garant voor een avondje muzikaal entertainment van de bovenste plank! In 2007 ontving de band de prestigieuze prijs voor ‘beste coverband van Nederland’. Meer dan honderd optredens later (op middelgrote en grote pop, blues en jazzpodia) spelen ze nog altijd in nagenoeg dezelfde samenstelling. Deze band vertolkt vele muzikale stijlen met verve. Of het nu blues, jazz, rock, funk, soul, pop, dixieland of bossa nova is, het staat als een huis.

In de loop der jaren heeft deze band het repertoire van de originele Blues Brothers smaakvol en respectvol uitgebreid met bekende en onbekende parels uit de muziekgeschiedenis. Maar altijd passend in het muzikale tijdsbeeld waar the Blues Brothers voor staan. Denk aan nummers als Hold on I’m coming (Sam & Dave), Polk salad Annie (Tony Joe White), Wooly Bully (Sam The Sham & The Pharaohs) en Walking the dog (Rufus Thomas). Geen elektronische presets uit zakjapanners, maar eerlijke, ambachtelijke soulmuziek uit de glorietijd van onze westerse muzikale beschaving. Een show van deze band (inclusief vijfkoppig blazersensemble) is een muzikale rondreis door het hart van de Amerikaanse muziekhistorie: a hotblooded rhythm & soulreview.
